As I have mentioned before, Jack loves to play going to work. Today he let me in on his work world a little bit more. Turns out they make chocolate gold coins at his work. That's why he comes back from work with chocolate for me.
*Side note: this work and chocolate relationship that my child has picked up on is because I am addicted to chocolate. Hershey's milk chocolate to be exact. So much so that Zack keeps chocolate at his work and brings me home three kisses each day so there is no chance of me eating the whole bag in one sitting. I think in Jack's mind that must be what Zack does at work. He leaves, goes to work, and then comes home with chocolate. Makes sense.

Of course it makes sense! You're not alone in the chocolate addiction. Chocolate makes me so happy.
That's so funny. Abby thinks Adam goes to work and collects coins -- because we are always telling her that daddy has to work to get us money so we can buy things.
That is so funny! It's crazy what little things kids pick up on.
That makes me wonder, does Zack have any memories of early impressions of his dad's work? Ana?
I think it's great that Jack has an association with his Dad's work. I'm pretty sure my work was so abstract, no kid could ever relate -- pens, paper, words -- what kid can relate to that! Associating Dad's work with chocolate is far better! Much love, DAD
I have been trying to think back about what I remember about my dad going to work. The thing that sticks out the most is the little sundry store that he would buy Blow Pops for us at and being small enough to hide under his desk like it was a fort. I don't remember ever wondering what he did there besides those two things :)
