The Great Piano Project 2011

We bought a piano a few months back for next to nothing (like $100).  We spent so little because we didn't know if anyone would play it, and don't know how long we are going to stay in this house and how long we will have room for it.  But Jack loves it and it's staying.  So on to photographic documentation of the great piano project 2011.
Before:
Proof of how beaten up this piano was
It had white paint marks, and glass stains all over the the piano
.
During:
The garage acted as one paint zone

The living room as the other
The tools.  I won't admit to how many cans of sprayer we went through...

And After:

In all it's blue glory.  Too blue, but as I am never painting another piano again it will remain blue forever.
I think its a prettier color in the soft glow of the evening.  And a 39 week self portrait as well.  Check out that belly...

You did an amazing job, Ana! I love it! You are my hero, and you are beautiful 39 weeks pregnant.

Sounds like a pretty painful process but IT LOOKS FABULOUS!!! I wonder if it'll be like labor where after a few years you just might be willing to do it again because the end result is so worth it?! Anyway I'm super impressed at what a good job you did and how well you put up with a spray zone in the middle of your living room. Congrats and job well done to you and Zack both. And you look so cute in the mirror shot. Can't wait to meet your new baby - btw does be have a name?!

I think the color is a great choice. Change takes a little adjusting at first but it is beautiful. What a fun project while waiting for Baby to come.
Piano's done, can Baby be for behind?!

I LOVE THE COLOR!! I hope you won't hate it for long. I hope you'll soon forget how arduous it was, and just love it in all of it's blue glory.

I won't ask about how many cans of sprayer you went through, but I'm really excited to learn more about the sprayer. Maybe I'll just need to call you.

Will baby share the same birthday as Grandma Z.?! Or are we thinking this could be a September birthday? I'm so excited!!!

Wait, I just need to say it one more time, since I just looked at the pictures again; THE PIANO LOOKS SO GREAT!!

Now I think I need to paint a piano. It's at the TOP of my list on the next move :)

AHHHH!!! I'm freaking out here, that piano is the perfect color and I love it! I especially love the bump picture, you look so great!

Thanks for posting that picture. Really, such a beautiful color, you've inspired me to find a used piano and make it beautiful!

Love the piano! It's almost as pretty as the verrrry pregnant lady taking the picture.

And it's Carolina Blue!

Go Tar Heels!!!

And Go Will! Welcome to the world, little buddy!
